The Killers bring Battle Born to Toronto's Air Canada Centre on May 15
As upset as we were about The Killers having to cancel the Toronto date of their Battle Born World Tour last winter, they’re coming to town to make up for it this Wednesday and we couldn’t be happier.
The Las Vegas-based rock band, which formed in 2001 and has released four albums to date, is easily one of the strongest and most innovative rock groups of the past decade with 17 million albums sold worldwide and numerous chart-topping hits.
After breaking our hearts and announcing a hiatus in January 2010 after touring for the better part of six years, the guys got back together a year and half later and went to work on their fourth album, Battle Born (possibly their best ever), releasing it late last year and hitting the road.
As refined as all of their releases, Battle Born is a little more serious than their last album, Day & Age, and deals with a lot of love and heartbreak but still has plenty of quirky charm and epicness and is best described as a solid album from start to finish with absolutely zero weak spots. The Killers are killer, don't ya know?
And if you're wondering about The Killers’ live shows, we can say from experience that they are always energetic, heartfelt and genuine and a sheer pleasure for old and new fans alike, so check them out this Wednesday if you can and watch their video for “Miss Atomic Bomb” – the follow-up to “Mr. Brightside” which once again stars Eric Roberts – below.
