Enrique Iglesias, Robin Thicke, Daft Punk, Fall Out Boy and Still Corners have the top new music videos you should watch (maybe)

Robin Thicke feat. 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar - Give It 2 U
Hmm, to say we’re feeling cheated and let down might be an understatement. Teaching everyone a lesson that you should never copy anyone, not even yourself, Robin takes most of the elements from his successful video for 'Blurred Lines', barely tweaks them and ends up with a vid that’s far from perfect. Other than the fact we have no idea why it’s taking place on a football field, we just can’t wrap our heads around the ridiculous props, random obsession with twerking and, well, as soon as the words ‘Ass Float’ appeared on the screen, we lost all interest. This is one you have to see to believe. And not in a good way.

Fall Out Boy feat. Big Sean - The Mighty Fall (Part 5 of 11)

In their continuing efforts to create a music video for each of the 11 tracks on Save Rock and Roll, Fall Out Boy deliver this gem (no, that’s not sarcastic). Imaginative plot: check. Seemingly random but perfect collaboration: check. Ode to the apocalyptic zombie trend: check. We don’t want to spoil it for you because it’s just too good, but basically the guys find themselves fighting against a savage group of kids. Although some folks would surely love to see them lose, it’s Big Sean that pays the ultimate price. We’re watching this one again…

Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams - Lose Yourself to Dance

Looks like the Robin Thicke syndrome is going around and spreading faster than we would  ave hoped. Keeping the same feel, and even the same collaborators from ‘Get Lucky’, Daft Punk deliver a great fashion choice – who doesn’t love a good sequin suit? – but fail when it comes to keeping us entertained. The occasional crowd shot is as exciting as it gets and we probably don’t have to tell you, that’s not very exciting at all. We’re officially sad.

Still Corners - Fireflies

We are truly having a hard time remembering when we last came across a music video that so perfectly reflected its song’s overall vibe and feel. Beautifully (and very artistically) shot, Still Corners’ release makes use of colors and lighting and landscapes and fashion that seamlessly go together, aesthetically and logically. The best way to sum up this vid may just be to say that all of its elements work magically well together. Watch it, won't you?

Enrique Iglesias feat. Romeo Santos - Loco
Uh-oh, you shouldn’t be going down that dark hallway, Enrique! Why are you walking into this mysterious deserted bar? Ah, there’s a sexy lady, of course! But oh no, there’s badass Danny Trejo – nothing good can come of this. At least that’s what we thought. Which is exactly why this video had our full attention… and why it royally let us down. With all that build-up, we expected something amazing and were ready to high five Enrique, but now we just want to smack him. Doesn’t he know that if you’re going to build suspense like that, you need to deliver with a great ending?
