Indie Week Toronto celebrates 10th anniversary October 16-20, here are five bands you can't miss!
Taking over 16 of the city's hottest venues and bringing together over 250 bands from Canada and beyond, Indie Week will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in style with five seriously music-filled days.

But unless you're a magician, the truth is that it's going to be pretty much impossible to see EVERYTHING, so, to help, we've put together a list of the top acts you certainly shouldn't miss. Here we go...

Thursday, October 17
Who: FALLS from Toronto. This quartet's brand new EP and stage show display a "lush atmosphere and dynamic range of moods and emotions that belies the DIY nature of the band." Nuff said.
Where: Silver Dollar (486 Spadina Ave)
When: 10:45pm-11:15pm

Friday, October 18
Who: Matt Blais from Calgary. Start your night off right with a high energy, A+ alt blues rock performance from this super talented musician. (Who also happens to be a total cutie.)
Where: Monarch Pub (33 Gerrard St W)
When: 8:30pm-9:00pm

Who: Arcane Saints from Australia. Fronted by Michael John, a relative of Iron Maiden's Steve Harris, Arcane Saints are serious about their rock n' roll and certainly do the genre justice. And did we mention they're coming all the way from AUSTRALIA?!
Where: Underground Garage (365 King St W)
When: 11:00pm-11:30pm

Who: The Beaches from Toronto. All female, all rock, all badass - yes, yes, yes!
Where: The Rivoli (334 Queen St W)
When: 12:30am-01:00am

Saturday, October 19
Who: A Primitive Evolution from Toronto. These guys (and gal) know what it means to put on a great live show that truly entertains. So even if you're not the biggest alt rock fan in the world, trust us and give A.P.E. a chance.
Where: Bovine Sex Club (542 Queen St W)
When: 2:00am-2:40am
