Top 5 things to do in Toronto this week [August 11th - 17th]
The dog days of summer are here, so get the most out of the next four weeks before the students return and the sun goes away again. Here are five great events to help you do just that:

FESTIVAL: CNE

Is there anything that tells us summer is almost over like the return of the CNE? As sad as the notion of cold weather returning is, getting your fun on at The Ex is the best way to spend the last couple weeks of heat and sunshine. Plus, the food. Need I say more?

Where: The Exhibition Place

When:  Open August 15th - September 1st

MUSIC: Mad Decent Block Party

All the Toronto music festivals have, for the most part, came and went - BUT you can still indulge in Mad Decent's Block Party at Fort York if you're up for tunes from Diplo, Zeds Dead, Keys & Krates, Thugli and more.

Where: Fort York

When: August 15, 4pm

THEATRE: Summerworks

You still have time to check out the creative and collaborative theatre festival all week long, and we recommend checking out The Stranger, Light Fires, The Good Story, The Container, The Widow, and This Is Our Last Song.

Where: Various venues across the cities

When: Until August 17th

FUN: Open Streets TO

Open Streets has become a popular event in major cities all over the world, and now it has finally come to Toronto. Get ready to bring your bikes out along Bloor and Yonge as major blocks of these streets are shut down to traffic Sunday morning, letting businesses open their doors to all that glorious foot traffic. It's like Kensington's Pedestrian Sundays, except, on our busiest, largest streets.

Where: Bloor/Yonge St

When: August 17, 8am - noon

FOOD: Hot And Spicy Food Festival

Those of you who love to feel the heat will make sure not to miss this free festival taking place down at Harbourfront this weekend. Sample cultural delicacies from all over the world, but don't say we didn't warn you when you start to sweat.

Where: Harbourfront Centre

When: August 15 - 17, 10am - 9pm
