Tom Cruise doesn't want Russell Brand joining the Church of Scientology
We all know that Russell Brand is REALLY into spirituality. He is deeply devoted to the Hare Krishna, he practices transcendental meditation to help him stay sober and keep his former addiction to alcohol and drugs in the past, and he has even met the Dalai Lama.
What we didn't know is that Brand tried to become a member of the Church of Scientology - or maybe I should say the Alien nonsense cult? - thanks to Tom Cruise who was his co-star in Rock of Ages. Look at them, they're like BFFs!
Russell Brand revealed in a recent podcast that he asked to Tom Cruise some questions about the meaning of life: "Sometimes I wonder what's the point Tom, is there a God? Isn't there? Is there some way of analysing this data?"
Unfortunately, Cruise didn't want to share his way to "analyse this data" with Brand and rejected him from the church. Here's Brand's reaction as seen on the Conan O'Brien's show:
Brand, you wanna know why? Because you're too much of a trouble maker! Cruise tried to give him a consolation prize, though: "He's ever so nice... He bought me a yoga mat. He's brilliant isn't he, Tom Cruise and he's so kind."
