This is how Caitlyn Jenner actually feels about same sex marriage
Remember Caitlyn Jenner’s recent first-time appearance on a talk show when she sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and shared her surprising views on same sex marriage?
“I kind of liked tradition, and it’s always been a man and a woman,” she said. “And I’m thinking, ’I don’t quite get it.’ But as time has gone on, I think a lot of people on this issue have really changed their thinking here. I don’t want to stand in front of anybody’s happiness.”
Not surprisingly, that statement left many confused and now, Jenner has taken to her blog to clarify her stance on the issue, writing: “I want to help each of you understand something that I only recently embraced: Being different is okay – in fact, it’s great!"
"But I also understand it takes some getting used to. Like many people, there was a time when I didn’t realize how important it is for gay couples to have the right to get married. But after hearing from my gay friends and learning more about the hardships they faced because of discrimination, it became clear to me that everyone should be able to marry the person they love.”
Is she being genuine or simply doing damage control — what do you think?
