Netflix begins shooting Gilmore Girls reboot - here's everything we know

Netflix has officially begun filming its four 90-minute episodes of the Gilmore Girls revival, which means all our dreams are coming true and we're finally going to get to relive the 2000s PLUS find out exactly what Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) have been up to since we last left them in Stars Hollow.

Here is everything creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has revealed so far to TVLine:

1) Melissa McCarthy will not be back because she has too much on her plate already. BUT “if Melissa is available and has an afternoon free, I'll write her a scene. Melissa was one of us,” said Sherman-Palladino.

2) There will be new cast members, including a Peruvian couple, a magazine editor named Jim, an “eager 20 something” named Damon, a 30-something named Paul and a blue collar man named Dwayne.

3) Rory is still single and Sherman-Palladino is trying to get “as many of the lovely men back as possible.” Here's hoping Jared Padelecki (Dean Forester), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) and Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger) all come back.

4) Each episode will represent a season of the year, starting with Winter and ending with Fall, and will see the characters as they are now, eight years since we last saw them.

We can't wait. Will you be watching?
