Ellen DeGeneres sued for making a joke about a fan's name - yes, really!
If you met someone named Titi, chances are you'd laugh. In fact, you'd probably laugh pretty hard. Right? That's what Ellen DeGeneres assumed when she made a joke about a viewer's name, but as it turns out, the 35-year-old fan wasn't laughing.

Titi Pierce is a Georgia woman who landed in DeGeneres' 'What's Wrong With These Signs?' segment back in February when the comedian showed a real estate sign with Titi's name on it.

We can all guess what the joke she made was, but according to a new lawsuit -- yes, Titi is taking Ellen to court -- “prior to defendant’s misdeeds, Ms. Pierce has been called only by her name ‘Titi,’ which, as grammar dictates, is pronounced ‘TEE TEE'" reports The Wrap.

What's more, the woman is claiming that the image Ellen showed allegedly displayed her cell number -- looks blurred out to us! -- which allegedly resulted in “ridiculing and harassing phone calls and voice mail messages" while "attending a family funeral out of state" AND in their hometown. During a funeral? Come on, what are the odds of that?!

Sure sounds like Titi is trying to milk the most out of this situation...
