One of the sad truths of Friday Night Lights is that its young stars can't stay in Dillon forever. Eventually, they have to move out of the small football town and search for success elsewhere. The latest FNL star to move on is Minka "Lyla Garrity" Kelly, who has just joined True Love, a new pilot for CBS.

If you thought the title wasn't hokey enough, True Love's plot seems even more formulaic, as the show follows a group of attractive young people looking for love in New York City. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kelly will play Kate, a strong-willed Midwesterner who has trouble adjusting to the fast-paced metropolis.

Kelly isn't the only FNL-er to take on a new gig: Zach "Matt Saracen" Gilford recently joined the law-themed pilot Matadors for ABC.
