How do celebrity parents prevent their kids from growing up like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's?
Some suggestions might include: (1) Not selling family photos to the tabs; (2) Swapping junior's knife collecting hobby for something less "stabby," like Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
If you're Robin Wright, the solution was much simpler: just move the family out of Hollywood (to the far more down-home community of Malibu...).
"I didn't want to raise my kids in this weird, sycophantic society," said Wright, who has two kids with estranged husband Sean Penn. "If you have celebrity parents, it's not a good recipe for the kids, or anyone at any age. Look at what Brad and Angelina go through," Wright said, reports the New York Post.
However, a quiet-ish life outside of Hollywood couldn't prevent their 16-year-old son, Hopper, from making headlines this week. The kid was arrested at his Malibu high school on drug charges, but Radaronline.com reports that the whole fuss was over nothing: he was just carrying his own prescription meds.
So yeah, a semi-sheltered life can’t stop the headlines -- but at least it can prevent your kid’s face from being tattooed on this dude’s fore-arm.
