Britney and Her Mother Make Amends

October 9, 2007

The Britney Spears saga had yet another twist added to it, although this one doesn't involve a hit and run, driving without a license or leaving her underwear at home.

The wigged pop princess reunited with her mother, Lynn Spears, over the weekend, People magazine reports.

Mother and daughter have been estranged since June when Britney was photographed handing her mother a letter. In it, Britney allegedly asked her mother to keep away from sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, if she was -- wait for it -- taking any medications that might cause her to be impaired in the presence of her grandsons, People magazine reports.

(Let the skies open up and tiny irony-filled raindrops pour down upon us.)

The reunion happened just as stricter measures were imposed on Britney if she wants to see her kiddies. The latest court documents say that Spears must complete twice-weekly random testing for drugs and alcohol, People reports.

Britney's mom and younger sister, Jamie Lynn, flew from Kentwood, La., to Los Angeles before driving to Britney's Beverly Hills home.

But the reunion weekend wasn't entirely free of drama. On Sunday, Spears and her sister were on their way to a sushi restaurant when they were accosted by an angry woman who screamed, "Britney, get the f--k out of the neighborhood! Nobody wants you in this neighborhood!"

When the woman grabbed Jamie Lynn's shoulders, the younger Spears shouted back, "Well then, move the f--k out!" as the ever-present paparazzi entourage shielded the pair from the stranger, anxious to keep the interloper out of their star-harassing turf.
