If you’re looking for another reason to not like Paris Hilton, we may be able to help you out.
The droopy-eyed celebutard has reportedly found a new best friend – with the help of a new MTV reality series she’s starring in, naturally. Paris Hilton's My New BFF sees Hilton choose the new “friend” out of 18 finalists who were whittled down from over 300,000 applicants, Reuters reports.
"The person who won is now my best friend. We hang out. Yeah, we're really friends," Hilton said Tuesday.
The contestants – who included two men – took on challenges (beyond speaking with Paris) such as creating an ad for one of Hilton’s fashion products and remaining hot on a rollercoaster. (No, really.) No word on whether night-vision pornography or racist slurring were among the contests.
"We've been having barbecues and hanging out at the house. The winner and I have been pretty low-key so far, because it is top secret right now," Hilton said.
On the show, Hilton tries to prepare the contestants for the rigors of celebrity life, including parties, paparazzi and product launches.
"In my life you can get photographed at any time. You never know when paparazzi are going to be hiding around the corner. So my friend needs to be paparazzi-ready," she said.
And how were the contestants?
"They were so excited,” Hilton said. “We went on a private jet to Las Vegas and they had never been on a private plane. It was nice to really show them things they maybe never could do in their life. They were really appreciative and so sweet.”
See, all you jaded and cynical types? This isn’t just Hilton having another (modestly) successful reality show – it’s also about giving back to the normal people, even though they dress funny and, like, smell.
