It's Twin Girls for Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell

January 5, 2009

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell may not be Hollywood's biggest stars, but thanks to the charmed co-mingling of their DNA, their names may now be uttered in the same breath as such A-listers as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez and Skeletor Marc Anthony, and to a lesser extent, Jon and Kate Plus 8. Yes, the couple is new parents to twin girls. The babies were born Dec. 28, reports People, and as per Romijn's rep, "Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well."

Dolly Rebecca Rose (presumably named after mom?) and Charlie Tamara Tulip (presumably the first-ever namesake of a Bachelor contestant?) are the couple's first kids. O'Connell and Romijn wed amid hay bales, Ugly Betty co-stars and, uh, Fergie, at their California ranch in 2007.

And while we would have pegged O'Connell as being a stay-at-home-dad type (we're still not forgiving you for Carpoolers, mister -- and besides, your best material can be uploaded to YouTube between bottle feedings), it's Mom who'll be taking mat leave.

"I'm taking quite a bit of time off," Romijn told People before giving birth. "I really want this to be my job for at least the next six months."
