Haven't the people of Rwanda been through enough? Thirteen years after the devastating ethnic cleansing that took the lives of one million civilians, the resilient African nation must now brace itself for another onslaught: Paris Hilton.
The heir-head has announced her plans to visit the terror-torn country as part of her post-prison makeover, telling E! News, "I'll be going in November, after I get back from filming my movie. There's so much need in that area, and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to help."
Hilton is currently in Toronto shooting the horror-musical flick Repo! The Genetic Opera. There's no word on what the walking Petri dish hopes to accomplish on her visit, but we're guessing it'll be something along the lines of teaching the Rwandan people that everybody -- be you Hutu or Tutsi -- needs to adhere to a strict cuticle care regimen.
Let's hope Rwanda's medical supplies and hospital conditions have improved greatly in the years following the genocide: a visit from Hilton must almost always be followed with a visit to the free clinic.
