It looks like Jessica Simpson has had enough of being embarrassed on national television. The reality star/pop tart, who flubbed the lines to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" during a tribute filmed earlier this month, has asked to have her footage removed from the television special.

The blond bombshell has withdrawn her performance from the Kennedy Center Honors set for broadcast on CBS on Dec. 26, reports People. Simpson not only messed up the lyrics, but ended up fleeing the stage in tears after muttering, "Dolly you make me so nervous. I can't even sing the words right."

Simpson was allowed to re-record the song for the televised broadcast, but reportedly remained unhappy with her performance.

Making light of the situation, Parton recently told TV's Inside Edition, "Jessica is so talented that I'm sure that someday they will be paying tribute to her and I would be honored to perform for her. But I'll probably be so nervous that I’ll forget my wig!"

Don't worry, Jess. Forgetting the lines of a song that was popular a quarter century ago isn't that embarrassing. It's not like the cameras caught you unable to distinguish chicken from tuna. Oh wait….
