Britney's Dad Gets a Raise

December 23, 2008

Britney Spears’ scandal-free comeback isn’t just benefiting the pop star – it’s helping out her dad, too.

According to the Associated Press, a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner has given Jamie Spears a salary increase – raising Brit’s dad’s pay as her conservator an additional $51,000 US. Jamie’s fee up to this point has been $10,000/month but Court Commissioner Reva Goetz has raised his salary to about $16,000/month. On top of it, Jamie’s will be paid the new amount retroactively and will receive an additional $1200/month for office expenses.

We’re thinking Jamie should get a cut from the profits of Brit’s No. 1 album, Circus, too, if he’s got anything to do with her not crying in her driveway in front of an army of paparazzi every second day.
