It's been at least three years since anyone cared about anything Mischa Barton did, so, by her watch, it's time to take a break from her hectic leggings-and-parties schedule to speak out on some so-called controversy. The 23-year-old actress took to her blog this week to defend her recent weight loss, insisting that everyone (read: no one) is making a big deal out of nothing.
"Just so you guys know I'm happier and healthier than ever," wrote Barton. "Things are really well in Mischa world and I've just been watching what I eat."
(We wonder what "Mischa world" is like. Does she spend her days frolicking with unicorns and winning multiple Oscars for her performance in the t.A.T.u. movie?)
"I still love my Pilates and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit," she continued. "My time in India and Paris really just helped me lose a little bit of weight but there's nothing drastic going on!"
Barton later told Celebuzz that she thinks the media focus on her body weight is inappropriate.
"The whole situation is ridiculous," she said. "One minute, I'm too fat, the next I'm too skinny. [The press] is always looking to start rumours and create drama."
But, as the saying goes, the only thing worse than being talked about is talking about Mischa Barton.
