Ellen Page's Crappy Canadian Thanksgiving

Fun fact for all you U.S. readers: our Canadian Thanksgiving is on a different day than yours. Freaky, eh? In fact, we're getting ready to feast on turkey and pumpkin pie this Monday, a whole month before you. (It's almost enough to make up for the fact that we don't have Target up here. Not quite, though.)

Of course, it's hard on Canuck ex-pats who are living in the U.S. Luckily for Canadian actress Ellen Page, her pals (including actor Justin Long and comic Har Mar Superstar) invited her over for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner, as seen in the YouTube video below. They provided all the essentials: maple syrup, Canadian Club whiskey, Degrassi reruns. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as Page had planned.

Gee, and here we thought Whip It! bombing at the box office was the worst thing to happen to her this week...
