Minnie Driver Becomes a Mommy

Actress Minnie Driver gave birth to a not-so-mini baby on Friday.

The first-time mom gave birth to son Henry Story Driver, who weighed in at an impressive at 9 lbs, 12oz reports People.

The actress, who will star in the upcoming aptly titled comedy Motherhood, has not yet revealed the identity of the child’s father, but told People in June that the father will be involved in the child’s life.

"He's going to be a dad so yeah he's going to be there for the kid," she said. "I'm not getting married to this person and I don't know what's going to happen but everyone is cool about the situation."

Driver, 38, says she’s looking forward to simply spending time with her new bundle of joy. “Babies are endlessly fascinating to look at and I’m obsessed about their complete and utter lack of guile. I’m looking forward to seeing life through the eyes of my own kid,” she told People.

The actress, who loves the beach, says she and baby Henry will spend most of their time by the water. “I love the ocean and this baby will probably be surfing and swimming before it can walk.”
