Cycle 12 of America's Next Top Model may have been a bit of a dud, but now that it's over and Teyana can start practicing her fierce-face for next year's batch of Cover Girl commercials, the real drama begins.
Earlier this week, judge Paulina Porizkova announced that she’s being forced to pack her bags and go home.
The supermodel revealed she was axed from the reality show on Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show earlier this week, and while the news seemed to be a bit of a downer (as she revealed on the show, "I was fired...on my birthday"), Porizkova was still smiling with her eyes, despite it all. As she joked, "It seemed that America's Next Top Model had gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat -- and the fat was me."
Porizkova's since revealed a little bit more about how she wound up joining Twiggy and Janice Dickinson among ANTM's judging panel body-count. As she told Access Hollywood, it was all over prima donna behaviour -- not hers, but Tyra Banks'.
"I must admit I was having a little bit of an issue with Tyra being late for every judging," Porizkova explained to Access Hollywood. "It's six hours later and I feel like I am being told my time is not as valuable as hers. They pointed out that I should shut up and be grateful for the job and that Tyra is really busy." (Six hours? If that's for real, someone better re-evaluate the rules of the Go-See challenge.)
Porizkova went on to explain that she didn't think her dismissal was anything personal. Because, well, Banks doesn't seem to know much of anything about Porizkova -- apart from the fact she's a (as read off teleprompter) "legendary supermodel."
“I’m not even sure she was aware that I existed way out there in Siberia, much like I am not sure she knew Twiggy existed,” Porizkova said.
“I wouldn’t know [what kind of person Tyra is] because all I know of her is literally when we are on set talking to each other in front of the cameras,” she said. “That is the only time she would speak to me.”
