Nothing puts us into hyperventilation mode faster than rumours that our secret boyfriend (aka George Clooney) is getting married to someone other than us. (Seriously, we're breaking out in hives at the mere thought of it.)

But there's no need to crack open a new bottle calamine lotion just yet, as Clooney's rep is denying the latest rumours that he's popped the question to his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis. Responding to Italian news reports that Canalis has been spotted wearing a Cartier diamond engagement ring, the actor's spokesperson told GossipCop.com that it's "not true." 

Meanwhile, the actor himself is baiting the Cloonatics by joking about settling down, reports the Associated Press. When asked about his plans for a family at Wednesday's London press conference for his new flick Fantastic Mr. Fox, Clooney joked, "I'm going to adopt some of Brad Pitt's kids. I owe him a few."
