John Mayer is dealing with a relationship crisis just like any other mature, adult male: by airing his dirty laundry on a gossip blog.
Under the guise of "scribbling out lyrics" in an "airport lounge," Mayer posted this cryptic, scathing note on honeyee.com:
Dear Ex Lover,
Perhaps you didn't understand the last time I told you to stop contacting me, so I'll do my best to spell it out for you. I do not wish to have you in my life anymore. I don't know how much more clear I can be about it. It would serve you best to move on with your life and find someone who can put up with you, because I'm done trying.
I hope this is enough closure for you.
Goodbye.

Though Mayer warns "Don't read too far into this on a personal level. (There are no hidden messages)... I just thought it sums up how crazy love can be," gossip bloggers have jumped on the chance to figure out which (if any) of his famous exes he could be referring to. Mayer has been romantically linked to Jessica Simpson (who he's previously praised on his blog), Cameron Diaz, Friday Night Lights' star Minka Kelly (who is currently on a USO tour with Brothers & Sisters' actor Dave Annable), and the newly engaged Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Or maybe we're all reading too much into it, and the note is just directed at some random groupie he once peed on backstage.
