Why should Britney Spears worry about losing custody of her sons? There are hundreds of kids just hanging out at schools all the time; Britney could just take some of them.
This appeared to be the pop singer's thought process two weeks ago. Us Weekly reports that on Jan. 7, just three days after losing custody of her sons, Spears showed up at a Beverly Hills elementary school, claiming she was there to pick up someone else's children. The perfect model of restraint and sanity, she drew very little attention to herself by dressing like a hooker, talking to herself and chain smoking while she waited for school to let out.
A witness told Us Weekly that, when asked, Spears first said she was there to pick up her own kids, then changed her mind to say that she was there to pick up her new attorney's children.
"All I could think was, 'Who in their right mind would let her pick up their kids?'" said the witness.
When school let out, Spears's presence quickly caused a big commotion, causing her to drive off without anyone's children. Her scheme thwarted, Spears is sure to move on to plan B: stealing a spider monkey from the zoo.
