Since Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff are too old to catfight over a Disney-approved suitor, the family-friendly network’s next generation of starlets have begun to form their own incestuous dating circle (and yet, they still have time to make more money than we could ever imagine).
The Jonas Brothers were spotted out with Disney Channel stars Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Brenda Song (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) at last night’s Lakers vs. Spurs game, reports E! News. The brothers hustled to meet the girls the Staples Centre in L.A. after appearing on the American Idol finale.
Gomez, 15, is reportedly being groomed by Disney execs to be their next big starlet. Basically, she’s taking Miley Cyrus’ title as “the next big thing”, and her ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas. Oh yeah, and she’s also guest-starred on Cyrus’ show as her rival. Ouch.
In addition to Wizards, Gomez is currently filming Another Cinderella Story, the sequel to A Cinderella Story (where Duff met Chad Michael Murray, who starred with Lohan in Freaky Friday, thus sparking a second dating dispute amongst the then-rival Disney stars. The first dispute was over Aaron Carter. Ain’t life grand, kids?)
