Yet again, Dina Lohan is showing the world that she cares more about fame than the welfare of her children, as E! officially announced its new reality show Living Lohan today. The show will follow Mama Lohan as she tries to launch the show business career of her youngest daughter, Ali, who, for some insane reason, desperately wants to be like her older sister, Lindsay. The show will also feature Lohan boys Cody, 11, and Michael, 20.
"The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today," Lisa Berger of E! said in a statement. "This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining."
Filming of the show has already begun, People reports, with shooting scheduled for New York City and Las Vegas later this month.
In an interview with Teen Vogue in February, Ali spoke of her desire to be famous like her older sister, displaying an almost charming sense of innocent naivete and an alarming air of stupidity.
"I grew up watching Lindsay and it made me want to do what she does. Just the whole vibe. Being there, being on camera, or onstage, with everybody listening to you," the 14-year-old said. "It's so cool when people look up to you. I've already been asked for my autograph and it's just a really good feeling to have."
It'd be funny if it weren't so terribly, terribly sad.
