Did Miss California Lie About Her Topless Pics?

May 11, 2009

Miss California Carrie Prejean seems intent on proving that she isn’t as innocent as she’s led everyone to believe. According to TMZ, the Miss America contestant may have lied when she claimed topless photos of her recently obtained by the website were taken when she was only 17.

The website quotes one of Prejean’s pageant sponsors, who claims Prejean was over 18 in the photos. The unnamed sponsor alleges that the beauty queen sent him one of the topless pics and asked “if she was in good enough shape for the Miss USA Pageant.” The sponsor says he received the photos after Jan. 6, 2009—the date of Prejean’s now-infamous breast augmentation surgery—and they show an obviously post-surgery Prejean. If the date of the photo is established as post-Jan. 6, it would make Prejean over 18.

After TMZ obtained four topless photos of Prejean more than a week ago, her representatives contacted the site claiming that the photo shoot resulted from Miss California’s naivet? at the time and, later, they claimed that she was only 17 when the pics were taken. As a result, TMZ has held back on posting the photos.

A conference determining whether Prejean will lose her crown as Miss California will take place today at 2 p.m. ET.
