Heidi and Spencer Try to Get Off TV. No, Really

June 1, 2009

Keep an eye out for Conquest, War, Famine and Death, because we're pretty sure the apocalypse is nigh. No other conclusion could be drawn from the fact that fame-hungry couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt actually tried to quit their latest quest for notoriety, NBC's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

E! News reports that Speidi tried to back out of the reality show on the very first day of filming in Costa Rica. Even though the show is described as depicting "C-Listers in distress," the newlyweds apparently didn't realize this meant hard work. (Hard work by their standards, anyway.)

"They wanted to be treated like stars," an inside source told E! News' Ryan Seacrest. "[Spencer] literally thought he and Heidi were staying in a Four Seasons, working out and getting a tan."

Montag and Pratt refused to eat the same food as everyone else and were also allegedly unimpressed with the rest of the "celebrity" cast, believing themselves to be of a higher calibre than Janice Dickinson, Stephen Baldwin, Lou Diamond Phillips and Sanjaya Malakar.

"I wish they got some real celebrities like K-Fed," Montag reportedly complained.

Heidi, we know Kevin Federline. We hate Kevin Federline. Kevin Federline is no friend of ours. But you, madam, are no Kevin Federline.

Unfortunately (for everyone), the reality show's producers convinced Speidi to remain on the show. Thanks a lot, guys.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
