Regardless of their official relationship status, New Moon's Taylor Lautner and Disney Channel mainstay Selena Gomez have been synergizing their 'tween brands like publicity pro-stars while shooting in Vancouver. The Jonas Brothers, no doubt, will be mad jealous.
Lautner, 17, and Gomez, 16 have sparked a mess of coupling rumours after they were spotted on a dinner date outside of Vancouver. Lautner, as anybody who likes their vampire fiction sparkly will know, has been shooting Twilight sequel New Moon in the area. Gomez is in town filming a movie adaptation of Beverly Cleary's Ramona and Beezus.
Neither stars' reps are commenting, but multiple reports are suggesting the pair has more in common than an interest in adapting young-adult fiction.
According to E! News, Lautner and Gomez were spotted together last weekend, grabbing supper at Coquitlam's Cactus Club before taking in Obsessed at a theatre nearby. Huh. Dinner and a crappy movie in the 'burbs: not an ideal date, but at least they skipped the Applebee's. Way to keep things relatable, kids.
According to onlookers, Lautner and Gomez were having a blast slumming it. "They were cuddling throughout the movie and sat very close together," one spy told People. "[They were] definitely acting like they were boyfriend and girlfriend."
Snoops over at E! News claim that the pair have been chummy on-set as well as off. One source told the outlet that Lautner's been visiting Gomez on the Ramona shoot when he's not running with his wolf pack for New Moon. They've also been spotted grabbing lattes around town. "They were just sort of doing their own thing, talking," an eyewitness told People.
