Navigating ritzy social functions can be a tricky feat for famous people, what with the constant bombardment of sycophantic fans, lurking paparazzi, and waiters trying to push their screenplays. Now, there's something else to worry about – contracting hepatitis A from the caterer.
Beyoncé, former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, models Bar Refeali and Veronica Varekova are just some of the attendees of a recent Sports Illustrated party who may have been exposed to the virus by a Wolfgang Puck employee catering the event, according to the L.A. County Department of Public Heath. The party, held on Valentine’s Day in celebration of the magazine's annual swimsuit edition, offered guests sushi and raw vegetables to nosh on. Health officials are recommending vaccinations for anyone who ate the bash's uncooked food, reports Reuters.
There's no word on whether Beyoncé is seeking treatment, or if she'll be joining the Hollywood Hep Club, headed by charter member Pamela Anderson.
