Well, it's about frickin' time: Lindsay Lohan finally surrendered to Beverly Hills police and was charged for driving under the influence and a hit-and-run, People reports.
Lohan turned herself into authorities yesterday afternoon (July 19) around 4:15 p.m. and was released on $30,000 US bail about an hour later. The Georgia Rule "actress" had to be formally booked because she was only cited at the time of her drug-fueled accident on May 26 due to her injuries. Lohan crashed her Mercedez-Benz that morning, and tests showed that she had cocaine and twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. A "usable amount" of cocaine was also found in the car, despite the lack of a hooker's ass to snort it off of.
Her court date is set for Aug. 24. Should that case go to trial, the jury selection process will surely be awesome.
"Have you heard of, or have you formed any opinion about Lindsay Lohan?"
"I loved her in Mean Girls, but her film choices have really gone downhill since then."
"You're dismissed."
