Funnyman Bill Murray is probably not laughing today. His wife of ten years has filed for divorce and a restraining order from the actor, and her allegations about their marriage are downright nasty.

In court documents filed on May 12 in Charleston County, South Carolina, Jennifer Butler Murray, 42, blames the split from Murray, 57, on his alleged drug addiction, physical abuse, adultery and abandonment, reports the Associated Press. She also requested a restraining order against her husband.

According to the court filing, Jennifer Murray alleges the Lost in Translation star is addicted to pot and alcohol, and claims he "travels overseas where he engages in public and private altercations and sexual liaisons." She also details an incident last November when she claims he "hit her in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her.'"

Bill Murray's attorney, John McDougall, wouldn't comment on the allegations, but said the entertainer "is deeply saddened by the breakup of his marriage."

The complaint, first reported by The Post and Courier of Charleston, cites the couple’s pre-nup, which has Murray paying his wife $7 million US in the event of a divorce.
