Whatever your opinion of Rosie O’Donnell might be, you’ve got to admit the so-called Queen of Nice sure knows how to stir up controversy.
This week, the talk show host is setting her sights on real estate mogul Donald Trump. On Wednesday’s episode of The View, O’Donnell mocked Trump, who co-owns the Miss USA pageant, for holding a press conference to announce that he was giving the scandal-plagued reigning queen a second chance.
"He's the moral authority?" O'Donnell ranted while flipping her hair across her forehead to imitate The Donald’s ridiculous comb-over.
"Left the first wife, had an affair, left the second wife, had an affair. Had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America?" she asked before adding, "Donald, sit and spin, my friend."
O’Donnell also alleged that Trump used his father’s money to dig himself out of bankruptcy, saying “This is not a self-made man.”
In a spectacular display of public retaliation, Trump fired back at the talk show host, telling the New York Daily News, "This woman is totally out of control. I’m worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?"
He continued his vitriolic tirade on Wednesday night’s entertainment show The Insider, saying “Rosie O’Donnell is disgusting, both inside and out. You take a look at her, she’s a slob. She talks like a truck driver.”
“Probably I’ll sue her, because it’ll be fun,” The Donald added. “I’d like to take some money out of her fat-ass pockets.”
He then went on to threaten O’Donnell’s life partner, Kelli Carpenter O’Donnell, saying,
“She better be careful or I’ll send one of my friends over to pick up her girlfriend. Why would she stay with Rosie, if she had another choice?”
In response, O’Donnell posted an entry from Wikipedia that details Trump’s past financial problems, along with this haiku:
