Stop hyperventilating, girls.  Your secret boyfriend, George Clooney, is not engaged.

Reports the 46-year-old bachelor popped the question to his 28-year-old girlfriend, Sarah Larson, ran rampant on the Web Monday after British Marie Claire's site quoted a "source" who works in a restaurant near Clooney's Lake Cuomo villa as saying "They haven't made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged."

"There is no truth to any element of the story," Clooney's rep said in a statement this afternoon.

The last time engagement rumours engulfed the couple, Clooney was promoting Michael Clayton at the Dubai International Film Festival. Coincidentally, his new film, Leatherheads, comes out April 4.
