Previously on SPCSC, country sweetheart Carrie Underwood made some surprisingly snarky remarks to Allure magazine, claiming that ex-boyfriend Tony Romo still calls her even though the Dallas Cowboys player is supposedly in a serious relationship with Jessica Simpson.

"The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer," said the 25-year-old American Idol winner.

In this week's episode, Simpson is fighting back against Underwood's accusations, telling a Nashville radio station that she knows for a fact her Romo beau isn't dialing his ex.

"I looked at his call log," she said.

How could we doubt the purity of their love? They certainly must to have a solid, trusting relationship if she's snooping on his phone.

In the September issue of Elle, 28-year-old Simpson continued to gush about how in love she is with her pigskin-throwing companion.

"Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart but they had different ways of trying to get to me," Simpson says in September's Elle. "Tony understands me."

So what makes the dreamy football star so worthy of Simpson's love and adoration?

"He appreciates my talent," she said.
