Gwyneth Paltrow's name has been popping up all over the place the last few weeks. She's presenting at the Grammys! She's totally still married! She wants the tabs to leave Lily Allen alone! She's opening a gym and doing really intimidating butt crunches in the meantime! Sheesh -- it's not like she has a movie to promote, or something (unless you count Two Lovers, which, uh, we don't).
The Oscar winner does, however, have book to shill. Yes, Paltrow -- she of the burgeoning lifestyle brand for aspirational vegan WASPs everywhere -- has landed a deal for a cookbook, which is on track for a fall 2010 release.
Picking up from where Paltrow's GOOP website leaves off, the book is expected to be about "the importance of togetherness at mealtime, emphasising that cooking for your family is the ultimate experession of love."
And to show just how much love Paltrow is willing to smash down your family's collective gates, she's ditching her infamous obsession with all things macrobiotic, instead opting for more traditional fare.
The book is tentatively titled My Father's Daughter, and as OK! Magazine notes, Paltrow is taking inspiration from her late father, Bruce Paltrow – who was a bit of a foodie himself.
"My dad was a famous pancake maker and I'm working on [adapting his] recipe right now," she told the mag. "I'm making mine slightly healthier."
