Before The View co-host Sherri Shepherd spent her time advocating Creationism to soccer moms and shut-ins across North America, her life wasn’t so awesome. Shepherd confessed to Christian women’s magazine Precious Times that she had been involved in a physically abusive relationship, was sexually promiscuous and had many abortions before converting to Christianity.
“My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses," Shepherd told the magazine. "I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count.”
The factually challenged stand-up comic/chat show host said she felt so low during those times that she “felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference.”
Eventually, Shepherd converted to Christianity and says that God showed her “that it would make a difference."
Thanks again, God.
