Jamie Pressly and her fiancé have separated, the actress tells Access Hollywood.

The My Name is Earl star and Eric Cubiche – who have a 1 ½ year old son, Dezi James – called it quits after a three-and-a-half year romantic relationship.

"We are taking a break from our relationship but we are together every day with Dezi and still love each other very much," Pressly told Access Hollywood. She also added that the couple hopes to “remain close friends as we both adore our son and want to make sure he knows we both love him more than life.”

Pressly and Cubiche had been friends for more than nine years before dating. They were engaged in October 2006, but had put plans to get married on the backburner because Pressly did not want to "go through the rigmarole of throwing a big wedding.”
