Wanting the latest photos of Sarah Jessica Parker on the Sex and the City 2 set is one thing, but blurry snaps of the star's baby-bucket for-hire? For Parker, that’s crossing the line. The star -- who's expecting twin girls via a surrogate mother -- is speaking out for the woman carrying her babies, claiming she has suffered "true harassment" at the hands of the paparazzi.
"On a daily basis, on an hourly basis, I am greatly concerned for her health and safety and the safe delivery of our children," Parker said in a recent Access Hollywood interview.
"The most unsavoury things have been done. She's had her phone hacked, her personal computer information hacked; she's had threats against her and true harassment," Parker says, also alleging that the surrogate's friends and family have been targeted, including another pregnant woman whom she claims was chased by photographers.
"You understand what stress, worry and fear and being scared can do? She's quite far along in this pregnancy and she's carrying two children," Parker told Access Hollywood. "There's simply no excuse for doing this to somebody. It's not acceptable."
In April, Parker and husband Matthew Broderick announced they were expecting twins by a surrogate mother this July. Soon afterward, Star published photos of an unidentified 26-year-old woman they tipped as the couple's surrogate. How did they pluck Parker's rent-a-bump out from a life of very-pregnant obscurity? According to E! News, Star says it put a name to the surrogate through details posted on her public MySpace account.
Parker, who has a six-year-old son with Broderick, tells Access Hollywood that they chose surrogacy as a final option. "It would have been odd to have made this choice if I was able to have had successful pregnancies since my son's birth," Parker said.
