Sandra Bullock Stalker Allegedly Attempts to Kill Star’s Husband as She Watches

A woman obsessed with Sandra Bullock nearly killed her husband, motorcycle mogul Jesse James, during a bizarre incident over the weekend, US Weekly reports.

Bullock and James’ 10-year-old child reportedly watched as stalker Marcia Valentine attempted to run over James with her silver Mercedes.

"On several occasions before this incident [the 44-year-old actress and her husband] found [Marcia Valentine] lying in front of their garage door,” Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino tells Us Weekly. “On [the morning of ] Sunday, April 22, around 10:30 a.m., Jesse James went out and asked her to leave. She yelled some obscenities at James, who did not have a cell phone in his hand. When she saw that he did not have a phone, she went to her car. She threw the car in reverse in his direction. He attempted to move out of the way and she kept moving the vehicle. She attempted to run him over three or four times. She then drove off on Pacific Coast Highway. James called police and told them that he did not know this woman. He then gave them a detailed description [of her] to the police — she drove a silver Mercedes with a white decal on the rear. He described her as a 5'4 white female. "

James later picked Valentine out of a line-up after police pulled her over and arrested her. The case has been sent to the Orange county District Attorney’s office, where Valentine could face assault with a deadly weapon, among other things. Bail has been set at $25,000.

As of publication time, it was not clear why the woman was obsessed with Bullock, but speculation had it she might have been driven mad by watching constant reruns of Hope Floats and Miss Congeniality on TBS. Let’s face it, that would drive anyone to kill.
