Crazy in Love Couple Jay-Z and Beyonce Get Hitched

It looks like the king of hip-hop has finally found his Queen B. Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles got hitched on Friday, friends of the couple are telling the press.

"It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family," a source told People magazine on Friday night.

The wedding was an intimate event, with only two dozen friends and family members present, reports E! News. The paparazzi caught guests -- including Solange Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin -- arriving at the reception at Jay-Z’s New York apartment building following the ceremony.

Wedding rumours kicked into high gear last Tuesday when the couple took out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.

Though the couple has yet to officially confirm the happy news, Mary J. Blige congratulated her tour partner, Jay-Z, on stage in North Carolina the following day. "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B," she yelled at the beginning of her set "You're All I Need."
