Don't know who Kim Kardashian is? Don't worry, you soon will. Her publicity campaign sex tape scandal is in full swing and, despite our best efforts, we're no longer able to cover our eyes and hope this story goes away.

Kardashian, who's best known as Paris Hilton's sometimes sidekick, reportedly made a saucy video three years ago with then-boyfriend Ray J, who's best known as Brandy's little brother. On Tuesday, the tape was sold by an unidentified source to pervy porn purveyor Vivid Entertainment for a staggering $1 million US, reports the New York Post. The company plans to have the DVD, tentatively titled Kim Kardashian Superstar, on store shelves by the end of the month.

Kardashian has taken a break from holding Hilton's hair back while she pukes to express her dismay about the tape being made public, telling Us Weekly she's "hurt and embarrassed" and plans to sue.

While the socialite, who's been romantically linked to Nick Lachey and Nick Cannon, feigns anger over her newfound celebrity pursues legal action, Vivid Entertainment has set up a preview of the tape on kimksuperstar.com, which shows clips from the remarkably well-lit and skillfully produced tape. Fortunately, (or unfortunately, depending on your level of perviness), Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch has shot down rumours the video features Kardashian indulging in golden showers, telling TMZ.com the tape does not contain "water sports."

Sigh. We're off to curl up in the fetal position and contemplate why we didn't take our mother's advice and go to law school.
