Lindsay Lohan Heads to Morgue; Finally Finds Captive Audience for 'I Know Who Killed Me'

January 18, 2008

We always feared the hard-partying, rehab-hopping Lindsay Lohan would end up in the morgue before long, but this isn't the way we imagined it going down.

The starlet is set to spend two days working in a morgue, as well as two days in an emergency room, as part of a court-ordered program to show DUI offenders the real-life consequences of drinking and driving, her attorney said, reports the Associated Press.

At the actress' progress-report hearing yesterday (Jan. 17), attorney Blair Berk said his client has already completed several requirements set by her DUI plea agreement, including two months in rehab and performing community service work with organizations including the Red Cross. And, of course, who could forget the grueling, 84 minutes she spent behind bars, the memory of which undoubtedly wakes her up in a cold sweat every night?

No details were released about what type of work Lohan would be expected to perform during her two, four-hour days in the morgue (though we're praying shaky cellphone footage of the actress answering the phone with a cheery "Thank you for calling! You stab 'em, we slab 'em!" will soon find its way to YouTube). Perhaps she can use the opportunity to glean some acting tips from the corpses who, while dead, still end up looking less stiff on the big screen than she does.
