Stars: they’re just like us! They’re just as willing to drink themselves into oblivion following a rotten week as the rest of us. Take former reality-show-star-turned-skanky-shoe-designer Jessica Simpson, who was spotted binge drinking last weekend, according to Us Weekly’s latest cover story.

The 27-year-old blonde bombshell had so much fun throwing them back at L.A.'s Mexicali Cocina Cantina last Saturday with BFF CaCee Cobb and her boyfriend, Scrubs star Donald Faison, Simpson had to leave her Range Rover in the parking lot and drunk-dial her mommy for a ride home, reports the mag. (At least she didn’t throw up under the table, which is what Cobb allegedly did. Let’s hope they left a really, really big tip.)

Though Us Weekly surmises Simpson was hitting the hooch because her ex, John Mayer, had just gone public with his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, we’re betting the drunken debacle has more to do with Simpson’s rumoured split from Tony Romo. Us reports Romo was spotted partying solo in Chicago and overhead telling friends he was single, while PerezHilton.com posted photos of Romo whooping it up last weekend with a group of Hooters girls, one of whom bares a creepily striking resemblance to Simpson. Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting Simpson’s relationship with the hunky quarterback is “is as dead as the Cowboys' 2007 playoff run.”

Not only does Simpson have to deal with an alleged breakup, she also has to suffer the humiliation of proclaiming her love for Romo in the latest issue of Glamour, which just hit newsstands last week. “I love this guy. Can you feel it?,” she gushed in the article, before presciently adding, “This article could come out and Tony and I could be broken up, but he still deserves all the accolades for bringing me back to who I am."

We wonder how many accolades she feels like sending his way right about now.
