The Hills’ star Audrina Patridge just went from being another dead-eyed, celebrity wannabe mouth-breather to the MTV reality show’s most interesting character. Nude photos of Lauren Conrad’s ditzy roommate leaked on the Internet Tuesday.
The topless pics, which first appeared on gossip blog What Would Tyler Durden Do?, were taken three years ago when the now 22-year-old Patridge was just out of high school. The photos were reportedly intended for a Playboy audition.
In a statement made through her rep, Patridge tells TMZ, "I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was young and very trusting of others and I didn't know to protect myself. It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me." (Wait, young girls look up to her?! God help us all.)
This isn’t the first sex scandal to rock The Hills. Conrad’s relationship with BFF Heidi Montag ended after Montag’s creepy boyfriend allegedly spread rumours about a sex tape featuring Conrad and her ex, Jason Wahler.
The timing of the latest photo leak couldn’t be better – The Hills’ third season returns on Monday. Not that we’re implying MTV execs used Patridge’s naked boobies for a publicity push. Nope, TV suits would never, ever dream of doing anything so vile and obvious.
