Bret Michaels didn't so much rock the Tony Awards last night, as the Tony Awards rocked him -- right in the face.
The Poison singer/foremost reality TV manwhore was clotheslined by a piece of scenery during a performance on last night's awards show.
Michaels appeared on the broadcast to perform Poison hit "Nothin' But a Good Time" with the cast of hair metal-themed Broadway show Rock of Ages. But after finishing the song, Michaels missed his mark -- perhaps dazzled by the adoration and/or the back-up dancers -- and was taken out by a piece of scenery. (Watch the video below.)
Michaels' publicist told People that the singer went for X-rays soon after the incident, but that he remained "a trooper" and was planning on hitting the after-parties. As Michaels vowed to US Weekly prior to his much-YouTubed performance, "I came here for one reason -- to put on the show and then go party." Still no word whether a long-haired gentleman wearing a bedazzled bandana over his face was spotted last night at Sardis.
Michaels' injuries are still unknown, though his rep says he did not break his nose as previously rumoured. Regardless, we're sure casting is already underway to recruit a bevy of Sunset Strip groupies willing to suck his face until it's better.
