From the Ironic Files: Dina Questions Other People's Treatment of Lindsay

January 3, 2008

In a shocking display of self-delusion and guilt transference, Dina Lohan is publicly blaming other people for her daughter's problems. Someone else. As in, not herself. (The mind boggles, doesn't it?)

Lindsay's fame whoring stage mom/enabler has spoken out against the starlet's ex-boyfriend, Riley Giles, who gifted Lohan with an early Christmas present by selling details of their sex life to British tabloid News of the World. Giles reportedly pocketed $120,000 U.S. for the story, which ran on Dec. 23.

"He took desperate measures to hurt Lindsay because she broke up with him," Dina huffs to People magazine.

But the maddeningly oblivious matriarch is denying reports she called Giles' mother for a little parental tête-à-tête.

"I never spoke to Riley's mom, nor would I blame her for his behavior," Dina tells People. "Riley is a grown man."

Giles, who hooked up with the starlet this past summer during her latest attempt to dry out at Utah's Cirque Lodge, told News of the World that Lohan is a "nymphomaniac," and claimed he's worried about her recovery because she has a "very addictive personality."

"And now she’s switched habits again," Giles dished to the tab. "First it was drugs, then it was sex, now it's shopping. Her whole day consists of spending — every day. She gets her hair done every day and has a spray tan twice a week. I don't think it's healthy."

Meanwhile, Lohan has bounced back from the breakup by reportedly hooking up with three different guys in one night. She seems healthy enough to us.
