Report: Lindsay Lohan Drunk, on Coke During Crash

Lindsay Lohan's brave announcement earlier this week that she's planning to give this whole rehab thing a real shot and extend her stay at Promises was rudely overshadowed by another paparazzi-loving starlet (we're not sure who -- some blond thing who lives in Paris or something.) But Linds shouldn't worry her pretty, little detoxifying head about it -- she's just managed to reclaim the spotlight with news that she was drunk and coked up during her car crash last month.

TMZ.com was the first to report that Lohan had cocaine and nearly twice the legal amount of alcohol in her system when she crashed her Mercedes convertible into a curb on Sunset Blvd. on May 29.

Beverly Hills police Lt. Mitch McCann would not elaborate on TMZ's report, but told People the website "won't be sued for inaccuracy."

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is currently gathering information from the police about the accident, in advance of Lohan's arraignment on Aug. 24. Following the early morning crash, officers revealed "a usable amount of an illegal narcotic tentatively identified as cocaine was recovered and booked."
