As a standalone headline, the phrase "Brody Jenner Gets Tasered" would be enough to make us giggle, search Google for the video, then demand that the clip be looped into a 22-minute-long reel that would pre-empt the next episode of The Hills.

However, the icky details that led up to that event -- which did indeed reportedly happen last night in L.A. -- only remind us that violence, even when directed at Brody Jenner, is never the answer.

According to TMZ.com, Jenner and his Playboy playmate girlfriend Jayde Nicole got into a row with Joe Francis, he who gave the world Girls Gone Wild.

According to the couple's account, they were at L.A.'s Guys & Dolls nightclub when Francis spoiled their party by hitting on one of Nicole's friends, who happened to be Francis' ex.

To cool him off, Nicole threw a drink at Francis. According to Jenner, Francis responded by grabbing Nicole by the hair, punching her face and eventually throwing her to the ground where he proceeded to kick her.

After security intervened, TMZ.com reports Francis was thrown out of the club.

Jenner, however, says he followed him outside, where he punched the guy in the face. In the middle of their row, Jenner says he was shot by a taser -- although because of all the ruckus, he says he's not sure who did it.

Nicole told TMZ.com she plans to press charges against Francis, and claims that he left her with a bruised rib, bruised and swollen face, sore lower abdomen -- not to mention a few clumps of missing hair.

Police were called after the fight, US Weekly reports. "A report was taken," an officer with the Los Angeles police department told the magazine. "It's still under investigation. There were no arrests."
