Mischa Barton, who's been barreling down the Headed to Obscurity freeway, has just veered onto the If You Can't Be Famous, Be Infamous exit. The former OC star was officially charged yesterday with four misdemeanors stemming from her post-holiday joyride through West Hollywood on Dec. 27.
Barton was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while having a 0.08 per cent or higher blood alcohol level, driving without a valid license and possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana, according to court papers.
"As previously stated, Ms. Barton has taken full responsibility for any mistakes in judgment that she may have made," Barton’s lawyer said in a statement on Tuesday, adding he was pleased his client was facing only misdemeanor charges.
Barton, who wormed her way into our cold hearts by playing the troubled, furniture-throwing Coop on Fox's soapy teen drama, is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow in Beverly Hills Superior Court, reports the Associated Press.
