Moby can rest a little easier today, as Eminem has finally moved on from tormenting the bald musician. Instead, the rapper has decided to go back to bothering his (alleged) ex-girlfriend, Mariah Carey – and Nick Cannon, Carey's husband, isn't exactly thrilled about it.
Cannon is up in arms about Eminem's new single "Bagpipes from Baghdad," in which the rapper includes derogatory (and strangely contradictory) lyrics about Carey, whom Eminem claims to have dated for six months in 2001. (Carey continues to deny any serious romantic entanglements with the rapper.) Lyrics include "Nick Cannon better back the f*ck up/ I'm not playin', I want her back you punk" and "Nick Cannon, you pr*ck, I wish you luck with the f*ckin whore."
(Somehow, Carey has resisted Eminem's overtures of love. We don't know how she does it.)
But Cannon has yet to learn that dealing with Eminem is like dealing with a 13-year-old mean girl: responding to his childish behaviour will only encourage him. All he wants is a reaction!
Unable (or unwilling) to keep quiet, Cannon took to his blog to defend his wife's honour.
"I felt sorry for [Eminem] because he must really be stuck in the past. Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn't let him get to second base from eight years ago," said the 28-year-old actor/director. "What type of grown man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey!"
...Zing?
Defying all odds, and making us lose our office pool, Cannon and Carey recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary. Thanks for losing us $50, you two.
